5G drives other technology innovations.
CES just isn’t a big show for phones, but in the CES 2018, you can’t miss the significate signal of 5G. The CEA added a 5G keynote to its schedule, featuring reps from Verizon, Qualcomm and Baidu.
At this year’s CES you’ll hear plenty of talk about driverless cars, connected homes and the internet of things. 5G is the direct technology to drive all of those innovations. The networks are set to go live by 2019 and coverage by 2023.
After the repeated deliberation of designing version, 5G supports these 3 kinds of application scenarios .
1.The transmission speed of 5G requires more than 1Gbps to enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB).
2.Industrial control to achieve Ultra-Reliable and Low Latency Communications (URLLC) . Car assisted driving or automatic driving are the most promising part.
3.Internet of Things applications to achieve massive Machine Type Communications (mMTC)
5G characters with a better reliability, a wider bandwidth and a shorter latency. All of the advantages energize 5G not only the speed but also a world that everything will be connected.

This is the biggest no-brainer of the show. The smart home dominated last year’s event, and it’s showing no sign of slowing. In fact, connected hubs like the Amazon Echo and Google home have made home automation an even larger focus. This, in turn, means you can expect more smart home devices from the usual players — names like August, Canary, Ring and Kwikset are all on the list of exhibitors.
CES has always been a big show for appliances from companies like LG and Samsung. A refrigerator sporting Samsung’s smart assistant Bixby was exhibited last year. It won’t be surprised if it starts popping up on washing machines, vacuums and the like.
2017 was the year that Amazon and Google really truly opened their respective assistants up to third-parties.
Companies like Sony and JBL began releasing their own versions of Echo and Home, often with far better sound quality than what either Amazon or Google were offering at the time. Besides, assistants will also no doubt start creeping directly onto other pieces of third-party hardware — Garmin recently announced the Speak car plug-in. 2018 will be the year that Google and Amazon attempt to assert how pliable and adaptable their assistants really are.

Virtual reality has been a tent-pole CES attraction in recent years, and that’s likely to continue to be the case.
As with smart speakers, CES 2018 will be a chance for third-parties to shine on existing platforms.
Qualcomm unveiled its Snapdragon 835 dev kit and has already brought some high-profile partners on board for standalone VR headsets, including, most notably, Oculus’s Go, which made its debut back in October.

Wearable market was pretty tumultuous in 2017.What surprise will be present are waiting to be seen.
Past years have seen smart shoes and t-shirts, and we’re likely to see more of the same on that front. In a foreseeable future, collaborations among sensors, low-energy Bluetooth, cloud computing, 3D printing, flexible membranes and more are transforming age-old fashions to be the next global trend.

Recently, LG Display announced late that it will be toting a huge 88-inch 8K OLED TV to CES 2018. The new TV will replace LG’s previously hugest 77-inch OLED as the largest OLED display on the planet. The TV’s resolution will be 7680 x 4320, which is 16 times more pixels than 1080p and four times that of today’s 4K TVs. Most major TV manufacturers make TVs above the 50-inch screen size exclusively with 4K panels already. But in the foreseeable future,OLED TVs are getting cheaper and, as they do, the list of reasons to buy LED instead of OLED are rapidly dwindling. Premium HDR will define premium LED TVs.
