According to the announcement of fast company, they selected the world’ s 50 most innovative and influential firms, spanning more than 350 enterprises across 36 categories. More than 300 editors, reporters, and contributors are dedicated to identify the most notable innovations of the year, trace their impact on businesses, industries and culture. Finally, 50 most innovative and influential firms are chosen on the list.

Apple ranked first. Tencent from China ranked fourth in the list, which ranked first in subregion of China.

The rank of 50 most innovative and influential firms list changes every year, as well as the top 10 companies. In 2018, Apple rank the first place for delivering the future, meanwhile the Amazon ranked the first place last year. Every year, new faces appear. 5 companies are new on the list of 50 most innovative and influential firms. Tech giant such as Apple, Amazon, Google, Tencent are hot on the list in recent 2 years.
Which industries are these innovation companies from?
We see the categories of these companies, they are mostly focused on high-tech， retail，biotech ,medical and entertainment industries.
There are 6 companies from retail industry on the list, including Amazon, Walmart, Sephora, Everlane, Sugarfina and Alfred. Consumer electronics, data science and finance industries ranked the second place in the 36 categories. The AI, Education and enterprise ranked the third place with 3 companies.
The regional distribution of these companies：most of them come from North America.
Companies in the list are mostly from North America, and the second is the European Region，such as UK, Italy, Sweden and Switzerland. In Asia, companies in the list are from India, China, Japan and South Korean. There are four Chinese Companies in the list.
4 Chinese innovative companies were on the roll in 2018.
As for China, four innovative companies from China are selected into the list, including Tencent，Bytedance，VIPKID and DJI. Tencent shift the rank from the 12th place to the fourth place this year.
Besides, it is the second time for DJI to be chosen into the top 50 innovative company by fast company. Bytedance and VIPKID are new startups in China. Founded in 2012, Bytedance is a technology company that specializes in the use of artificial intelligence to link people with large amounts of information. The company’s flagship app, Toutiao, offers a personalized ranking of news, videos, and content from thousands of media outlets and millions of users.
In 2017, 6 companies in China were on the list of top 50 innovative company. Alibaba, Xiaomi, BBK Electronic, Huawei and Dalian Wanda are not on the list this year. It is the same with Google, Uber, Snap and Facebook.
Top 10 innovative companies in China：it is surprise that manufacturer Haier and package delivery service SF Express make the cut.
In the sub list of China, the top ten innovation companies include Tencent, VIPKID, DJI, Bytedance, Didi Chuxing and Alibaba,etc.It‘s surprise that some traditional entreprises make the cut, including the only telecom gear maker, Haier, and package delivery service SF Express. While Baidu and Huawei are fall on the list.

As the first Chinese private express delivery company to build its own cargo airlines， S.F. Express processes the most cargo aircraft in the industry ( 55 full-cargo flights, which near the scale of Dutch express TNT ) and 1586 airline routes with a 3000 daily takeoff number. The total number of the SF Express private cargo aircraft have reached to 39, including Boeing 767,Boeing 757 and Boeing 737 etc. In the 2017 H1, the total shipment reached 514,000 tons, accounting for over 20% of the total number in China. S.F. Express has become the first major in the China’s air freight.
2.Ground Network: Service Network + Intensive Trunk Line
S.F. Express crafts an intensive domestic and foreign network. In the domestic market, the network covers nearly 99% of the cities and 93% of county-level cities. Besides,310 transfer depots and 16,000 private trucks are available, accompanying with 85,000 trunk lines.
3.Information networks：Multi-level layouts + Researchers
S.F. Express continues accelerating the pace of technology innovation and investing in these fields. There are 2072 researchers in SF Express. In pass 3 years, S.F. Express has submited and assureed 780 patents and over 380 software copyrights.

1.S.F. Express is working on industrial-strength unmanned drones with the goal of being able to get products anywhere within China in 36 hours or less.
2.S.F. Express set up its package lab, to improve and create a better way for package solution from the packages’s internal buffers and the standard of packaging unit to the warehouse combinations.
3. S.F. Express speeds up global expasion. It accompanied with the Hubei province government to invest 37 billion RMB (about $5.9 billion) into the construction of S.F. international airport in Hubei Ezhou. The airport has a planned annual capacity of 1.5 million passenger and 3.3 million tons of cargo by 2030. The terminal buildng and shipping centre are designed to have an annual capacity of one million passenger and 2.45 million tons of cargo by 2025. When the entire project finnished, this airport will be the Asia’s first and largest cargo hub, ranking 4th place in the world largest cargo distribution hub.
4. S.F. Express also invested a lot in the internal knowledge management instruction. S.F. Express won the prize of Global IOU MAKE 2017. The MAKE（Most Admired Knowledge Entreprises ）award is internationally recognized in the knowledge management field and granted to the entreprises with good performance. S.F. Express is the first Chinese winner.
The innovation efforts made by Haier
Haier is the only one telecom gear maker in the list of Top 10 innovative and influential Chinese companies.
